Keep ideas and useful notes
Keep the information you will need on holiday easy to find, while giving unfinished research its own space.
Save a possibility in Inspiration
Open Inspiration for a segment, or choose Save an idea in its Itinerary section.
Add a name and, if useful, a website, notes, category and tags. An idea does not occupy a day in your active schedule. Use Maybe later to set it aside and Return to ideas to bring it back to Ideas.
Trip members can contribute ideas, like them and discuss them in Comments. Owners and Planners choose the shared priority and decide what enters the active plan. Likes do not automatically schedule or rank activities.
To use an idea, choose Add to itinerary and review the destination and dates. The confirmation explains that its discussion and likes will be discarded. Moving an active entry back to Inspiration keeps its existing planning and financial records, but starts a fresh discussion.
Import a list of ideas
Choose Import ideas and download the CSV or Excel template. Fill in Segment and Name, with an optional Link. Upload the file, resolve uncertain segment matches and review the included rows before saving.
Imported titles and links are your research, not checked recommendations. A Google link may remain useful even when the app cannot resolve it to a linked place.
Choose the right notes field
- Display notes are for information you want in the trip's reading views: an entrance to use, a meeting point or a reminder to bring a jacket.
- Research notes are for background work you only want in the editor: alternatives, questions or things still to check.
Research notes are shared with other authorized editors. They are not a private notebook for your account. They do not appear in reading views, printed itineraries or calendar downloads.
Booking and financial notes have separate access rules. Keep sensitive booking-management links out of shared display notes and public website fields.
